A Tractable Monetary Model Under General Preferences

Exporting and Investment Under Credit Constraints
Nous examinons la relation entre le rendement des entreprises et les contraintes de crédit touchant l’entrée sur les marchés d’exportation. À partir de données administratives sur les entreprises canadiennes, nos conclusions montrent que les nouveaux exportateurs : a) accroissent leur productivité, b) augmentent leur ratio de levier et c) haussent leurs investissements. Nous estimons que 48 % des fabricants canadiens éprouvent des contraintes de crédit actives lorsqu’ils décident de s’engager dans les marchés d’exportation. -

La croissance de l'activité à l'échelle mondiale a été remarquablement vigoureuse ces trois dernières années, avoisinant 4 1/4 % en moyenne, et elle devrait se maintenir aux alentours de 4 % en 2006 et en 2007. -
