Dans cette note analytique, nous déterminons la fiabilité de certaines mesures approximatives de la liquidité sur les marchés obligataires canadiens. Nous constatons que, dans le cas des obligations de référence du gouvernement du Canada, les mesures approximatives de l’incidence sur les prix et de l’écart entre les cours acheteur et vendeur dressent un tableau de l’évolution des conditions de liquidité qui est semblable à celui obtenu à partir de mesures de liquidité plus complètes. -

Le Cadre du G20 pour une croissance forte, durable et équilibrée : le point sur la coordination des politiques macroéconomiques depuis la crise
Depuis 2009, le Cadre du Groupe des Vingt (G20) pour une croissance forte, durable et équilibrée propose un mécanisme à l’appui de la coordination des politiques macroéconomiques à l’échelle internationale. Le Cadre a produit des résultats, dont la fixation d’objectifs en matière d’assainissement des finances publiques. Il reste que la croissance mondiale n’a été ni forte ni équilibrée depuis la crise. En outre, plusieurs pays avancés tardent à se doter de plans crédibles de redressement budgétaire, alors que les progrès vers une flexibilité accrue des taux de change dans certaines économies émergentes sont lents. Un renforcement du processus d’examen par les pairs et un approfondissement des analyses des effets de débordement internationaux permettraient d’accroître l’empreinte du Cadre sur les politiques mises en œuvre par les membres du G20. -
