An Empirical Analysis of Bill Payment Choices
Comment les Canadiens paient-ils leurs factures? Des données d’enquête recueillies en 2019 auprès de plus de 4 000 Canadiens montrent comment les modes de paiement choisis pour régler les factures varient selon les caractéristiques des consommateurs et les types de factures. Les données révèlent aussi que de nombreux consommateurs se sentent restreints dans leurs choix, ce qui porte à croire que les préférences des émetteurs de factures pourraient également jouer un rôle important. -
Optimal Monetary and Macroprudential Policies
La coordination optimale des politiques monétaire et macroprudentielle comporte une pondération des risques plus élevée pour les obligations (sûres) lorsque les banques doivent détenir des réserves de fonds propres supplémentaires. Elle implique aussi un certain durcissement de la politique monétaire quand ces réserves sont mobilisées. -
