Cette étude quantifie l’incidence des ouragans sur le commerce maritime international vers les États-Unis. En comparant le moment où les ouragans croisent ces routes avec des données mensuelles sur le commerce des ports américains, nous isolons les effets imprévus d’un ouragan frappant une route commerciale à l’aide de deux méthodes d’identification distinctes : une étude de l’événement et une projection locale. -
